Kiewit Infrastructure South Co. served as the title sponsor of Trout Days in Damascus, Virginia, supporting a community event that brings residents and visitors together each spring and fall.
Trout Days features a weekend of fishing, local vendors and family friendly activities, while also contributing to the town’s long-term recovery efforts following Hurricane Helene. The event draws anglers from across the region and highlights Damascus as a destination for outdoor recreation.
Members of the Virginia Creeper Trail Restoration project team attended the event and hosted a booth throughout the weekend. The team shared general updates about the project and distributed Kiewit-branded swag to attendees.
Kiewit is currently working in Damascus on reconstruction of the upper section of the Virginia Creeper Trail, a project that will play a key role in restoring access to one of the region’s most well-known recreational assets.
Participation in Trout Days reflects Kiewit’s ongoing commitment to the communities where it works. By supporting local events and maintaining a visible presence, project teams stay connected to the people and places their work impacts.
